Its been a while since my last kilometre log update. The scooter has been hassle free except for one incident where the front tyre spontaneously deflated. Fortunately I was only a kilometre or so from the workshop when it happened so it was not difficult to ride it slowly at walking pace to get it looked at.

It turned out that I had let the front tyre pressure drop too low which caused the "beads" in the tyre to pop in and break the seal with the rim. A quick tap with the hammer and refill of air and we were away again. So the lesson of the day is that it is important to regularly check your tyre pressure, especially with the tubeless tyres found on the e-max!

E-max battery life update

As far as battery life goes, I am still able to get good mileage out of a full charge, evidenced by three recent recharges of over 50kms (the greatest distances I've gone between charge ups). The maximum speed with turbo is still about 60kms, however I have started to notice a slight decrease in maximum speed without the turbo enabled (to about 45-50kms). I gather this is something that normally happens as batteries age, however this is something I am planning to look into. From reading the Emax Connection there may be a couple of things that can be done to improve the battery life of the e-max and minimise this effect.
